Email Marketing: Using Interactive Media Links

Writing by Brick Marketing on Saturday, May 10, 2008

Email marketing is constantly evolving and changing, usually for the better. This is something that allows us to try new techniques and also to connect better with readers who get tired of the same thing all the time.

Interactive media links are the perfect way to add a little pizazz to your emails. If your readers are bored of reading plain text, why not give them some video? Or audio? It´s relatively simple to record your own video or podcast and your readers will greatly appreciate the change in pace.

Just because your email marketing contains interactive media doesn´t mean you don´t need to write. It´s usually fine to write an article and include a link to the relevant video or audio clip. This will add some extra value to your emails, whereas an email that only offers links won´t be regarded as high value. Using text in combination with your links will offer your readers more information to digest and will help boost your reputation as an expert in your field.
