Email Marketing: Split Your List for Better Results

Email marketing is something that requires a lot of work. Just setting up an autoresponder isn´t good enough if you really want to make sales. You´ll need to do a lot more, in fact. One easy way to gain more sales is to simply split your opt in list.

When someone buys your product or affiliate product, they should immediately be moved to a new list . . . the buyers list. This email marketing tactic is one that the best marketers use and it can be quite effective. Basically, you want all the people who have already bought from you to be on this list. They´ve already proven that they trust you and are willing to hand over their hard earned cash for your products, so they are prime candidates to become repeat buyers.

This buyers list needs special treatment. You don´t want to just throw more ads at them in hopes that they´ll buy. Now that they have one product, give tips and advice on how they can use it and maximize the potential of the product that they already have. This will keep them reading.

Talking about your other products and how they will help enhance the existing one will help boost sales. If you don´t already have a second product, start working on one or find an affiliate product that compliments the one that you have. If you aren´t already splitting your list, you´re missing out on a huge email marketing opportunity.
