Email marketing is generally accepted as a good way to promote your business and earn money online, but do you really know what it is that makes email marketing work? When you know why you´re using email as the preferred medium of communication, it will be far easier to use it effectively.
Connecting. There is something about receiving regular emails from someone that helps you connect with them. This doesn´t mean ads, but real information sprinkled with a little bit of personality. This will capture your readers´ interest and keep them reading.
Trust. After an extended period of communication, it´s natural for a bond of trust to begin to form. This can help you when recommending products . . . people will trust that you are giving them an honest opinion. Be very careful not to betray this trust!
Interaction. Email is easy to send and if you invite your subscribers to contact you, they will. This is a great way to help establish a more personal bond with your readers and make them feel that you really do care. It also affirms that you are a real person, not just an autoresponder message.
