Using List Rental to Your Advantage

Let´s face it, most of the time, list rental ends up being a waste of time and money. If you don´t have the right offer, you´ll be unable to tempt those one-time readers to sign up for your email newsletter. It´s something that many email marketers struggle with, but it doesn´t have to be that way.

Basically, you need to remember that list rental is a temporary thing. Often you are only able to email the list a limited number of times before it “expires”. This means you definitely need to catch their attention and make the readers an offer they just can´t refuse.

Decide on what you will be offering in order to convince people to sign up for your permanent email list and then create a killer subject line. This will help get them to actually open the email and then read your offer. It´s usually best to put this at the top with any other informational content below. While you don´t want the email to appear to be just an ad, it´s still a good idea to make it super easy for them to see what you´re offering.

Often a freebie will be enough incentive to get people to sign up for your email newsletter, but you may want to just have them click through to a landing page first so they will be more likely to read up on your information. Take the time to plan your strategy before just jumping into list rental without a plan.
