3 Email Content Tips to Get Readers Back

When an email newsletter has gone on for a long time, it can be easy to start getting complacent about your email content. What you write just doesn´t have the passion and pizazz that it once had. When that happens, you tend to lose readers. But it doesn´t have to be that way. You can pull them back before they decide to give up on you and unsubscribe.

  1. Write a contest email. A contest will often draw people out of the woodwork and will cause them to reevaluate your email content in general. Follow the contest up with some passionate writing and you should be able to keep those subscribers.
  2. Give something away. This will usually get people interested again and you can continue to hold their interest with quality information afterwards. A free ebook is often a great way to get people´s attention.
  3. Write a series. This will keep them opening each of your emails just to see what is coming up next in the series.

These tips will help keep your readers loyal and ensure that you don´t get too many unsubscribes. However, it´s always a good idea to write the best quality email content possible, even when you´re worn out and don´t feel like writing at all.
