Now, on to the love of email …
My personal journey in email marketing …
1990 - Started sending and receiving personal emails. It was love at first email!
1997 - Started my journey into email marketing.
2009 - Launched my own Email Service Provider (ESP)
2016 - Launched an email deliverability and email marketing agency
The email landscape has changed a LOT since my own start in 1990. For the most part, the changes have been very positive, especially for email receivers, whether it be personal emails from friends and family, job-related emails, or marketing and transactional messages.
I know there will be many more changes in the email landscape, and I hope they remain as positive and empowering as they have been over the last two-plus decades of my involvement in this space!
Here’s to the next 20 years together email!
Till next week!

Marshalls Defeats Privacy Lawsuit Over Email Pixels - MediaPost

An Arizona shopper accused the chain of sneaky email tracking with pixels, but the court wasn't buying it—no "concrete injury," no case. Seems sharing your email for deals strips you of pixel-privacy gripes, and the judge hinted that the law cited wasn't even meant for email marketing side-eyes. Another win for retail, another pixelated privacy debate fades.
Networks hosting botnet C&Cs: Same players, same problems - The Spamhaus Project
Despite Trust and Safety teams' best efforts, the same big-name networks—like Alibaba and Tencent—are repeatedly flagged for hosting botnet command and control centers. The real issue? Leadership's lack of proactive measures. Spamhaus urges a top-down commitment to robust customer verification and network monitoring to prevent cybercrime, rather than waiting for a crisis or legal push to act. The message is clear: it's time for industry giants to step up their security game and collaborate to keep the internet safe.
